Book launch – The task

Launch an e-book on mortgages and position the author, Campbell Hastie, as the undisputed authority in this area.

The Bank Said Yes! How To Get A Mortgage If You’re A First Home Buyer In New Zealand is full of insider tips for homebuyers. Bloom PR was tasked with generating awareness and positioning the author as a key voice in the field.

The PR campaign

Bloom PR launched the book by sending a press release to key business media nationwide. The story contained a link to download a copy of the e-book. As a result it was featured on various news websites.

The next stage was to arrange an author interview with the Herald on Sunday, followed by radio interviews plus two on-screen interviews with TV One’s Nadine Chalmers-Ross on the Breakfast programme. Profiles in Sunday News and Business To Business added further weight to the media campaign.

The results

The author has achieved his goal of becoming an industry guru in the mortgage field, with a regular column on the Business section of the TVNZ website writing about housing and mortgages. In addition, the e-book has been downloaded over 200 times to date.
